ARMED police were mobilised in the Westlands area of Droitwich this afternoon.
Officers were called after reports of a man seen with a gun in the derelict Fox and Goose pub in Farmers Way at about 2pm.
A police spokesman said: “In order to protect our officers from any risk of firearms attack they were armed.
“A full search was carried out but no one was found in the area.
“No one in the area, either our officers or the public, has been put at risk at any time.”
Any threats involving firearms should be reported to police immediately on 999.
