A FOLK festival is being held over three days at a Hanbury venue.

Running from June 26 to June 28, Glast-Hanbury is being held at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre in Hanbury Road.

In its second year, the festival line up includes folk-rock trio Foreign Affairs and Gaz Brookfield, who are both performing at Glastonbury this year.

The festival begins on Friday night with visitors invited to bring along their own musical instruments, joining Droitwich-based Wychway for a jamming session.

On Saturday the line up includes a mix of musicians from the area including Tyler and Mike Mann, Claire Boswell and multi-award winning Babajack, along with celebrated bands from further afield.

Also performing will be The Leylines with their unique style of punk folk, and returning favourites Roving Crows, whose Celtic folk rock fusion has won industry acclaim and many fans.

Roving Crows will be headlining on Saturday night with songs from their latest album, Up Heaval.

During the event there will also be a cider and perry festival featuring traditional folk entertainment and homemade food and refreshments.

Jinney Ring's owner, Amanda Sunter, said: "We’re beating Glastonbury to it this year with our stellar line up, plenty of local cider, food and festival fun all weekend, and with the Friday night session – who knows we may have something quite special for them next year too."

Festival-goers can camp during the weekend, and enjoy delicious cooked breakfasts at the craft centre's Farmhouse Restaurant.

Visitors can also browse the centre's gift shop and working craft units.

Tickets are available ahead of the event at a price of £16 adults, £7 for under 14s while under 5s go free.

Tickets will be available on the gate, priced at £20.

Camping costs £7 for one night, £12.50 for two, which includes a £2 breakfast voucher for the restaurant.
