CHILDREN at Chawson First School received a visit from children’s author Megan Rix recently, who came to talk to them about how she writes her books.
Megan visited a class of key stage two children to talk about her new book’ The Runaways’, and to tell them about how she focuses her books on how animals were used in World War One and World War Two.
Megan told the children how she goes to safari parks to find out how the animals behave, and the children had the chance to ask her questions.
Sophie Pegg said: “It was nice to learn what animals were used in World War Two and how they were used.”
Emily-Grace Stanley, added: “It was really interesting and pictures of her pets were really cute.”
