CHILDREN at Sytchampton Endowed First School received a visit from a very special police dog recently, to help them learn all about the police service and ways to keep themselves safe.

PCSO Andrea Leslie, brought the West Mercia mascot Peeler the Police Dog to the school along with PCSO Keeley Hawkes from the Droitwich West Safer Neighbourhood Team.

PSCO Leslie said: "Our Safer Neighbourhood Team attended Sytchampton School along with mascot, Peeler the dog, to deliver a talk on stranger danger, road safety, cyber safety and further crime advice.”

The team spent the day interacting with the pupils, and answering questions they had on what the police do to help to keep them safe and protect them from harm as well as giving the youngsters the chance to try on police uniforms, including hats and helmets, and they even saw one of their teaching assistants being put in handcuffs.
