Firefighters called to reports of fires in Droitwich field
FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a fire in a field behind the Travelodge in Rashwood Hill, Droitwich, at about 7pm on Wednesday, March 18.
On arrival they found several small fires, which had been lit deliberately by a farmer and were under control.
A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "He had about 20 fires spread out across the field but crews went out and spoke to him and he assured them it would be monitored thorough the night”.
