A MAN in his sixties miraculously escaped injury after the car he was driving collided with a tree and overturned near Droitwich at the weekend.
Local police, fire and ambulance crews were called out to the A4133 Ombersley Road near the junction with the A38 just after 8am on Sunday, January 18.
A fire appliance from Droitwich arrived to find the car on its roof. The driver, a 63-year-old man was not trapped in the vehicle and managed to get out while fire crews made the scene safe, and although he was checked over by paramedics, he said he was in no pain and did not want to be taken to hospital, and so was discharged at the scene.
