PUPILS at Dodderhill School in Droitwich had a visit from World Champion downhill cyclist Tracy Moseley recently as part of a special event.
The Worcester-born cyclist came to visit members of the cycle club at the independent girls’ school to talk about her successful career and how it took a decade to achieve her dream of becoming a World Champion.
Cate Mawston, headmistress at Dodderhill School said: “The girls were delighted with Tracy’s visit and we were really pleased to meet her. The girls asked lots of questions and Tracy patiently answered every single one. She was a true professional and a thoroughly nice and down-to-earth lady. She has invited the cycle club to come over to Malvern to do some cycling there next summer and the girls are very excited about it already.”
Ms Moseley was invited to visit by Ian Baggot, a parent at the school who launched Dodderhill School’s cycle club, where children can learn cycle skills and road safety, as well as participating in different races on the school field.
