CHILDREN and staff at Ombersley Endowed First School and Nursery are getting ready for the festive season and preparing for their Christmas Fair which is set to take place at the end of the month.

The fair will feature a whole host of Christmassy fun with everything from a Santa’s grotto and Christmas games, to craft stalls, toys, books, DVDs, sweets, fun tattoos, nail art, tombolas, and a raffle.

There will also be a variety of refreshments on offer including tea and cakes, and a barbecue.

Ombersley headteacher, Caroline Moore said: “Not only is our Christmas Fair one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, it is also a fantastic opportunity to look around our wonderful school and meet some of our pupils, parents and staff. We hope you can join us to help mark the start of the festive season.”

Entry for the fair, which is set to take place at the school on Friday, November 28 from 5.30-7.30pm, is £1 for adults and free for children, and includes a lucky programme giving adults the chance to be entered into a prize draw to win a £20 Morrisons voucher.

The Christmas Fair is organised by the Friends of Ombersley School, and this year it will be raising money for a new sensory garden for the school, with more than £7,000 raised last year for the school.
