VOLUNTEERS at Droitwich Spa Methodist Church spent the weekend putting together the final touches for their collection of gift boxes for this year’s Operation Christmas child appeal.
People packing the boxes fuelled up on tea and coffee, and there was also a cake, and bring and buy stall and books for sale, to help toward the cost of transporting the boxes.
Volunteers at the Worcester Road church wrapped up more than 300 shoeboxes, adding everything from toothbrushes, soap and flannels, to large notebooks, pens, sharpeners, pencil cases and sweets, all of which have now been sent off the children around the world through the charity appeal.
