STAFF from a Droitwich-based housing company spent the week working on a number of community projects in the town, in a bid to make a difference to local neighbourhoods.

The staff members from Fortis Living, which rents properties in Droitwich, held a Swap Shop in Westlands Community Centre on Tuesday, September 23, and worked to renovate the Westlands play area on Wednesday, September 24, as well as tidying up a community garden at the Herriots.

At the start of the week, a spokesman from Fortis Living, said: “Every member of staff will be taking one day out, away from their desks to make a difference in the local community. It is an opportunity do something great and as we have recently merged it is also a good team building exercise.”

Staff also spent the week bringing in items to be donated to local food banks, collecting around 700 individual donations between them.
