DROITWICH has had its Fairtrade status successfully renewed by the Fairtrade Foundation, proving that it has a significant number of shops and cafes stocking Fairtrade products.
Droitwich Spa was first named a Fairtrade town in June 2007, and it has to renew its status every two years, proving its ongoing commitment to shops selling Fairtrade products, cafes selling Fairtrade teas and coffees, and businesses offering fairy traded refreshments to their employees.
A spokesman for the Fairtrade Foundation, said: “A lot of time and energy has obviously gone in to supporting Fairtrade in Droitwich and Fairtrade is growing within the town."
