Remember a loved one at St Richard's Hospice

First published in Local

BEREAVED families in Droitwich are being invited to plant a wooden sunflower to remember their loved ones at St Richard’s Hospice this weekend.

The hospice is holding its second Sunflower Memory Day on Sunday, August 3 to raise funds for the hospice, and for a donation, families will receive a 20cm high wooden sunflower, on which they can write the name of their loved one.

St Richard’s community fundraiser, Lizzie Brazier said: “The sunflower memory days are held in our lovely hospice garden, which forms a beautiful backdrop for this special occasion. Our first memory day was very much appreciated by the families that attended, and was a very personal and informal celebration of their loved ones. We look forward to welcoming other families to our next memorial event.”

The day will also give families the opportunity to talk with the hospice chaplain Rod Waugh, and the family support team.

The Sunflower Memory Days are open to everyone who has lost a loved one, not just those with a connection to St Richard’s Hospice.

For more information, visit or call Lizzie Brazier at the hospice on 01905 763963.
