A PETROL strimmer has been stolen in Droitwich from under the noses of a group of ex-offenders.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 11 at approximately 11.55am outside St Nicholas Church on Ombersley Street West.
A group of approximately six ex-offenders were helping to tend the garden in the churchyard as part of community service, when a man picked up a petrol strimmer which had been left on the floor, and walked off with it in the direction of Stalls Farm Road.
The man is described as white, with a stocky build and long messy dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, and he is believed to have been with another man and a woman.
The strimmer was a red Honda petrol strimmer, thought to be worth £450.
Anyone with information about the man or who might have witnessed the incident, is asked to contact West Mercia Police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident number 270s110614, or alternatively they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
