ONE of the exhibitors at the upcoming Droitwich Food Festival will be bringing a guest from 6,000 miles away to meet Droitwich townsfolk.

Scott Farms, which has a stall booked for the festival, will be bringing the face of its brand over, all the way from North Carolina in the United States.

Farmer Dewey Scott, who grows sweet potatoes on his family farm, will be appearing at the Scott ‘Love Sweet Potato’ stand on Saturday, June 21, to chat to people about the virtues of the vegetable, and share some of his favourite recipes.

He said: “This is my first visit to Worcestershire and I am looking forward to meeting as many local people as I can - it would also be great to meet some local farmers too, so please do come by and say hi.”

It’s only Mr Scott’s second visit to the UK, and he will be bringing several samples with him to the festival for people to taste.
