A GROUP of Droitwich fundraisers are holding a charity walk and a Fun Day in the town this weekend to raise money for Macmillan Nurses and St Richard’s Hospice.
The fundraising team organised by Elaine Harris and Helen Fletcher Williams will be setting out with approximately 30 walkers on Saturday, May 3 from Digliss Basin in Worcester, along the canal, and back to Droitwich.
Last year the fundraisers managed to raise more than £8,500 for Cancer Awareness with a number of events.
The charity walk will be followed by a family fun day at the Westcroft Pub, with a barbecue, raffle, face painting, a pinata, and lots more.
The fundraisers also have plans for a fancy dress pub crawl, and a bake sale as part of the Droitwich Festival in June.
