St Richard’s Hospice is hoping for a large turnout for its charity walk this May in the Malvern Hills.

The walk coincides with the hospice’s 30th anniversary, and will see hundreds of walkers of all ages heading for the hills to walk a choice of routes covering two, five or 11 miles.

Last year more than 260 people took part in the fundraiser, raising £10,000 for the hospice, and organisers are hoping this year’s event will prove as popular.

St Richard’s community fundraiser, Lizzie Brazier, said: “The Malvern walk is always very popular and we’re hoping it will be bigger than ever to celebrate our 30th year.

“The event is great fun for all involved, and makes a big difference in helping us continue to provide our care. We have many people who do the walk each year and look forward to striding out across the hills every May.”
