The incident occurred at some time between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday, March 15, when the Mini Copper was parked on the roadside, and the car’s windscreen was completely destroyed at a cost of approximately £250.
A police spokesman said it appeared the stone had been picked up from a nearby garden and quite a large amount of force had been used to throw it through the windscreen.
