STAFF at Webbs Garden Centre in Wybold will be taking a more relaxed attitude than normal in their work attire this month in a bid to raise funds for childrens hospice gardens.

The onesie is the new dress code at the garden centre on Friday, March 14 with everyone encouraged to wear theirs as part of Garden Re-Leaf Day.

Ed Webb, chairman of Webbs, said: “Customers will see us swap our smart, purple Webbs workwear and look a bit daft in an assortment of onesies but it’s all for a great cause and we would welcome their support.”

Garden Re-Leaf Day is organized by the Greenfingers charity to raise money for creating gardens in children’s hospices around the country, and has already raised £116,000 toward its work.

Staff at the garden centre will be giving a donation to swap their workwear for onesies, while the garden centre customers will also be able to get involved in the fundraising by buying raffle tickets in store in the days running up to Garden Re-Leaf Day, with a chance of winning prizes including hampers and afternoon tea for two donated by Webbs.
