A BROMSGROVE and Droitwich company celebrating its 50th anniversary this year aims to raise £50,000 for charity to mark the event.

Kimal supplies customised procedure packs and vascular access devices to the medical market A family business from the start, it has more than 230 employees in the UK, with another site in Uxbridge as well as overseas.

It manufactures, sells and distributes medical products to hospitals across the world.

Kimal wants to raise £50,000 in aid of Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, which grants wishes to children and young people aged three to 17 fighting life-threatening conditions, in Kimal Challenge 50, a series of events set up over a year, from last November until November this year.

Since November the company has raised £8,000 from customers, suppliers and well-wishers. This year it has skydives, a five-a-side football tournament and Three Peaks challenges organised, with more events planned.

Kimal has offered most of the places in the events to employees and their family and friends but there are limited places for anyone outside of Kimal interested in taking part.
