Droitwich Lions Club raised thousands during festive period

First published in Local

DROITWICH Lions Club has raised nearly £3,500 to help young people's causes.

The group held two major events over the Christmas period to collect the cash.

Bill Philips, president of Droitwich Lions Club, said: "I would like to thank the kind-hearted people of Droitwich for their support over the Christmas period.

"Reasonable weather conditions helped us to successfully run two major events during December to bring Christmas cheer to local children."

The group helped with the town's Christmas lights switch on, opened a Christmas grotto and then organised Santa sleigh tours throughout the town with the help of Droitwich Rotary Club.

Droitwich Lions Club is always on the lookout for additional members. Anyone interested should call 0845 833 5879 or visit droitwichlions.com
