SOLICITORS who donated their fees to St Richard’s Hospice for the charity’s Write a Will scheme have raised over £15,300 this year.
Solicitors participating in the September Write a Will scheme offered customers the opportunity to make a simple will. More than 120 people in the county took up the chance to do so.
Rachel Jones, corporate fundraiser for St Richard’s Hospice, said: “This has been our most successful year ever for Write a Will thanks to all those solicitors who donated their fees. We are also delighted people took up such a good value opportunity.
“St Richard’s relies on donations and gifts in wills to continue providing all our services to patients and their families so this scheme is an ideal way for our supporters to help us.
Solicitors taking part in the September Write a Will scheme included Star Legal LLP; Harrison Clark Rickerbys; Painters Solicitors; QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright; Parkinson Wright LLP; QualitySolicitors Thomson & Bancks and Thursfields Solicitors.
Anyone who missed the earlier opportunity has the chance to take it up with mfg Solicitors in Worcester during February. Again it will be £85 for a simple single will and £135 for a double with all donations to St Richard’s Hospice. To book an appointment contact Amanda Piper, mfg Solicitors, Worcester, at amanda.piper@mfgsolicitors.com or by calling 01905 610410.
