WORK to lay new water pipes in Droitwich Spa has now been completed.
Severn Trent Water has finished its £66,000 investment in Middle Lane, Hadzor, to help protect the water supply following a series of leaks and bursts in the area.
Severn Trent Water’s programme manager, Jonathan Tait, said: “The old water pipes had been serving the community for many years and there had been a number of bursts recently. This lead to customers’ supplies being interrupted and prevented us from being able to provide a reliable service.
“I want to thank the community and our customers for the patience and understanding they’ve shown while we carried out this essential work. Now the new pipes have been laid, our customers should be able to be more confident in the reliability of their water supply.
“We worked closely with the businesses in the area to make sure we could always provide access for them and their customers. We also arranged special signage for Gaudet Luce golf club during the work. Our investment will help to protect our customers’ supply and reduce the possibility of bursts for many years to come”.
