RESIDENTS at a care home in Droitwich Spa got a visit from some furry, four-legged friends.
A collection of animals from mobile zoo Animal Mania were the star attraction when they visited residents, loved ones and staff at Westmead Residential Care Home, Westmead Close, on Tuesday, October 29.
Among the visitors to the home were rabbits, meerkats, hamsters and chinchillas, which the residents were able to hold and pet.
The home’s manager Sue Stokes said: “Our residents absolutely love animals, their faces light up when they see them. So we thought it would be wonderful to have some come to the home for an afternoon.
“Stroking animals can be so therapeutic, especially for people living with dementia because it is very calming and relaxing.”
