STAFF from Rashwood Care Home are celebrating after receiving a national award recognising the gold standard of care they provide residents.
Rashwood Care Home, near Wychbold, received commend status as part of the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) in the Care Homes Quality Hallmark Awards. They join more than 400 homes across the country which are providing their residents with the compassionate care they deserve as they approach the end of their lives.
Helen Grice, manager of Rashwood Care Home, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious award. We have always prided ourselves on the excellent care we provide our residents. GSF has helped us formalise this and take our care to the next level, ensuring that residents enjoy their lives, receiving the high quality care they want in their chosen place, right up to the end.”
Everyone in the home, ranging from nurses to activities coordinator and catering staff, are involved in regular reviews with the residents. All aspects of their lives are considered including spiritual beliefs, personal interests and care preferences.
