People urged to have say on Droitwich health services
11:10am Wednesday 20th March 2013 in Local
PEOPLE in Droitwich are being urged to get involved with the health service in their area.
A new scheme, called Better Together, has been launched by NHS South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
It will enable patients and the public to work together with the clinical commissioning group to better understand and help shape local health services. It will give people the opportunity to put forward ideas and views to staff about what health services work for them and make recommendations for the future.
NHS South Worcestershire CCG is the new NHS health body responsible for buying and arranging health services.
Dr Carl Ellson, GP and chief clinical officer for NHS South Worcestershire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Our engagement work is absolutely integral to how NHS South Worcestershire CCG works and we want to ensure that all services we commission have been developed with patient and stakeholder feedback in mind.”
The scheme is open to anyone aged 14 and upwards who is registered with one of the 32 GP practices that encompasses NHS South Worcestershire CCG.
To join the free scheme, South Worcestershire patients can register online at southworcsccg.nhs.uk/get-involved/better-together
To find out more about local health services, members of the public are invited to attend NHS South Worcestershire CCG’s governing body meeting on Thursday, March 21 at 2.30pm at the Guildhall in Worcester.
