TALENTED youngsters from Dodderhill School in Droitwich Spa have raised over £1,000 for the NSPCC by holding a sponsored maths challenge.

The boys and girls from kindergarten to year six, aged two to seven, raised £1,504 for the children’s charity.

In total, 100 pupils took part in the maths challenge, which boosted the curriculum activities. The children had to learn their times tables, complete a maths paper and they were sponsored by friends and family for every question they got correct.

Cate Mawston, headteacher at Dodderhill School, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to not only give the children an incentive to learn, but to also raise lots of money for a worthy charity.”
