AN outdoor activity centre in Wychbold is giving visitors the chance to develop skills in canoe paddling.

Worcestershire County Council's Upton Warren Outdoor Education Centre is running a number of courses in the months ahead.

BCU (British Canoe Union) Learn to Paddle courses, suitable for beginners, will commence in March. Each course costs £60 per person to attend.

Courses are available on Sunday, March 24, from 9.30am – 4.30pm, Wednesday, May 15 and 22, from 6.30 – 9.00pm, Sunday, June 9, 9.30am – 4.30pm, and on Sunday, August 11, also from 9.30am – 4.30pm.

Places on each course are limited so pre-booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Alistair Hodgson, operations manager said: "Now that spring and summer are on their way, it's an ideal time to be getting out and about learning new skills on the water. We're looking forward to welcoming learners to Upton Warren Outdoor Education Centre where you can gain new outdoor skills in beautiful surroundings."

Unusual photograph of Upton Warren, did not realise it was such a vast expanse of water and must look out for those hills as I have not seen them before when driving past.

Have there been some significant earth/ seismic movements recently?
