Droitwich children's centre to hold first aid courses
3:30pm Saturday 23rd February 2013 in Local
A CHILDREN centre in Droitwich Spa is holding first aid and home safety courses.
WANDS Children's Centre, based at Farmers Way, will be running the courses over the next few months.
The sessions, which have proved popular previously, provide information and advice to all parents with small children on how to respond to accidents within the home, and what to do to minimise the risk of some accidents occurring.
Sessions will be available on both weekdays and weekends to ensure busy parents have as many opportunities as possible to attend.
A basic first aid course will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 10am – 1pm, and costs £5 per place Other first aid courses will be held from 9.30am - 11.30pm on March 5, 12, and 19 at a cost of £15 per place for all three sessions.
Childcare is available for some courses and can be checked with WANDS Children's Centre when booking. Places are prioritised for families with children aged under five years, however parents with older children are welcome to express interest in the event that places are available.
Judy Mayo, centre manager for Worcestershire County Council's WANDS Children's Centre, said: "We’re very pleased to be offering our first aid courses again as they've been really popular in the past, and look forward to welcoming some new faces along."
