A CARE home in Droitwich is helping elderly people, their loved ones and carers to prepare for the future by holding a free seminar about care fees and lasting power of attorney.
Westmead Care Home, Westmead Close, is inviting members of the community to an event on Tuesday, January 29 at 6.30pm, where legal experts will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions about care fees and lasting power of attorney documents.
The home’s manager Sue Stokes said: “Nobody likes to think that one day they may need someone else to care for them or make decisions on their behalf, but the reality is that it is better to be well informed and prepared should that time ever come.”
Refreshments will be provided at the event, which finishes at about 8pm, and people will also have an opportunity to have a look around the home and meet its residents and dedicated team.
To book a place at the event call the home on 01905 778353 or email Sue.stokes@sanctuary-housing.co.uk
