PEOPLE are being invited to find out more about a charity that supports families in south Worcestershire.
Anyone who wants to learn about the work of volunteers at Home-Start can share a fish and chip supper on Thursday, January 31, from 6 – 8.30pm, at its Worcester office in Goodrich House, Sansome Place, Worcester.
Staff and volunteers from Home-Start will be on hand to tell visitors about the nation-wide network of volunteer schemes. Guests can also discuss how they might be able to help support a family in need.
Home-Start volunteers all have parenting experience, span a range of ages and come from all walks of life. People just need to be able to spare two to three hours once a week to offer support and friendship to a family with children under the age of five.
