A SCHOOL choir from Droitwich beat 100 other competitors to claim top spot in a top singing competition.
Westacre Middle School’s award-winning choir has triumphed once again.
After winning the judge’s choice award in 2011 at the Merry Hill Christmas Choir competition, they have now gone one step better this year.
Talented pupils claimed the best choir title for the West Midlands region. The school was awarded a trophy and prize money of £1,000, which will be spent on further developing music and the creative arts.
A spokesman from Westacre Middle School said: ”We are extremely proud of our children and their high standard of achievement. We also want to thank our choir leader Mrs Helen Just and all our staff who worked so hard to achieve this success.”
