SIR – We would like to invite your brave Worcester News readers to run the Virgin London Marathon 2013 for Meningitis UK.
We have a number of guaranteed places (golden bond) for the 26-mile challenge on April 21.
Everyone who runs for us will be part of the Meningitis Musketeers team, with the motto All 4 One and One 4 All to highlight the devastating fact that meningitis can kill in under four hours and the importance of our Search 4 A Vaccine Campaign.
Full support will be given and everyone who participates will receive a free running vest or T-shirt and a handy information pack including hints and tips on how to prepare.
Our Search 4 A Vaccine Campaign aims to raise £7 million to fund lifesaving research into stamping out all forms of meningitis.
In the absence of a vaccine, we also distribute a wide range of material to raise awareness of the common symptoms and the need to act quickly, which can mean the difference between life and death.
