FUEL FOR THOUGHT: Why is petrol and diesel more expensive in Worcester than other places?
SIR – I just want to say how pleased I am that the Worcester News is monitoring the excessive price of petrol and diesel in Worcester.
In the 30-plus years I have lived in Worcester I have often wondered why people put up with the very high prices of fuel here (I remember one occasion when I noticed that petrol was cheaper at M5 junction 3 than I had just paid in Worcester).
When I asked why that was the case I was told that the reason is the distance Worcester is from the refinery which, to me, seems most unfair.
Please keep up the good work, Worcester News.
