SIR – Alan E Coldicott hopes someone in authority will have the former Images nightclub tidied up for the Queen’s visit (Worcester News, June 25). Why?
We have to see it as we pass up the Butts and some people (myself not included) feel the Hive is an eyesore anyway already. The county and city councils have made tremendous efforts to save we ratepayers a lot of money this year, so why waste it unnecessarily on tidying up a building that will hardly be noticed by the royal party.
Paint the Guildhall, yes, but the only money that should be spent on Images should be for demolition.
