SIR – I agree with the comments regarding BT in Luke Albarin’s letter of March 28.
I, too, have had similar problems, but going back to November 2008. Numerous telephone calls have been made and, as he quite rightly says, these are taken by staff in India and in some cases cannot be understood.
I wrote a letter stating all the details of the ongoing saga to BT at Durham. I received a phone call from India in response to the letter and the man informed me he was in charge of complaints and the matter would be corrected. I asked if he would please put it in writing (not e-mail) to confirm what he had told me on the phone. This was two weeks ago, and at the time of writing, I have neither received a letter nor has the matter been resolved.
