SIR – In a recent letter to these columns, the prolific contributor Jim Evans implied that he knew facts about immigration so damaging they would not be printed.
I think he should reveal these facts and leave the decision about whether to edit them because they were defamatory, libellous or an incitement to racial hatred to the editor and his lawyers.
