SIR – I have come to the conclusion that Wychavon District Council should go into showbusiness. Well, put it like this, they make me laugh.
You see, we did everything we are supposed to do – you know – put recycling in the clear bag, food waste in the caddy, and the rest in the black bag, and put them all out by our fence.
To my surprise three different trucks turned up during the day, one to pick up the clear bags, another the black and one to empty the caddy.
Now am I wrong in thinking that we are supposed to be reducing air pollution and recycling.
The old system saw one truck turn up and take the lot, now we have three. How absolutely ridiculous is that? Three times the pollution, three times the cost. Oh, and so I don’t rub it in, I won’t mention the green bins for glass.
I really think if this continues our council tax will rocket next year.
Pete Challenger,
Pershore.
