I have just heard from Waitrose, Malvern branch, that we have been nominated to benefit from their community matters initiative for the month of April. For those of you who do not know this system, every shopper is given a token as they go through checkout (if not please ask for one).
The shopper can then choose one of three nominated charities for the month and put the token into the perspex box by the door. At the end of the month, Waitrose weighs all these tokens and divides a donation of £1,000 between the three proportionally. So please, can I ask you to spread the word to anyone who shops at Waitrose in Malvern that it would be great if they would vote for St Richard’s Hospice – just put the tokens into the St Richard’s Hospice container.
