| Wychbold Women’s Fellowship | | 4:50pm Wednesday 11th June 2008 | | The annual gathering of women's fellowships in the diocese was held in St Michael's church, Upton Warren, and ladies from both near and far flocked to this ancient church for an afternoon of happy fellowship. The rector, Rev Roger Antell, first conducted a simple service and was also able to be with us for the following business meeting when representatives of the fellowships present gave their reports on the year's activities. |

| Salwarpe WI | | 10:47am Friday 23rd May 2008 | | There was a good turnout of members and we were delighted to welcome back our former secretary Kathy Jones, who has been recuperating after a serious fall in December. Dates for your diary include our planned visit to Bodenham Vineyard in June, our day at the WI's own college Denman, in August, not to mention the Corbett Group visit to the local cottage garden at Astley Burf on July 24. Congratulations were given to four members who had entered craft and cooking items in the County Spring Rally - Denise Cotterill and Janet Simmonds in the craft card section, Patricia Banthorpe, who submitted a knitted garment, and Beverley Tyler, who baked a cherry cake. Craft coordinator, Sue Longhurst, had set up a table with the entries displayed and we were all invited to sample the cherry cake at refreshment time - thank you Bev, it was delicious. |
