Wychbold Women’s Fellowship
IN the April issue of Community Link we wrote of Pat and Len Tonks' then-approaching diamond wedding anniversary. In this issue we can report on that occasion, which was celebrated by a thanksgiving service in St Mary de Wyche Church in Wychbold, to which we and countless other friends had been invited.
It was a privilege to join the Tonks family for this occasion. The theme of the service was one of thanksgiving, with Pat and Len epitomising the strength of their long and enduring marriage and we repeat our affectionate good wishes for their continued happiness and good health. We met at The Poplars for our April meeting and listened to another of Annie Brown's audio tapes of Pam Ayres, regaling us with her hilarious poems and anecdotes from life. Thank you for these Annie (and John, who we understand picked them up at a jumble sale!). We meet tomorrow (Thursday) when members from fellowships all over Worcestershire will meet at St Michael's, Upton Warren, for a united service followed by afternoon tea. Our next monthly meeting will again be at The Poplars when we look forward to a good attendance, now that we have the light summer evenings to tempt us out on Monday, May 19, at 7.30pm.
