Wychbold Women’s Fellowship

Several weeks ago I became aware of the fact that Angela had informed just about everybody in the united parish, perhaps also everybody else with whom she came into contact in her busy life, that I would be 90-years-old at the beginning of March, writes Pay Kay. The result was that many friends wanted to make a celebration and so we declared open house for the day. My house was taken over by teams of friends who made sandwiches and many other delectable goodies to offer hospitality to all who had been kind enough to respond to the invitation to join us. Everybody seemed to be happy to be there and I most certainly was. It was an occassion to remember with Jane Baker's delicious cake, iced by Pat Tonks, shared during a toast drunk in pretty pink Cava. And so I thank you all for your affectionate wishes, gifts and invaluable support and for getting me through this landmark so happily. By the end of March there will have been another celebration, this one honouring the diamond wedding of Pat and Len Tonks. What an achievement! We wish them continued happiness and good health and will join them and their family at the service in Wychbold Church at the end of March. The next meeting will be on Monday, April 21, at 7.30pm in The Poplars.
