Wychbold Flower Club
RUTH Bottomley, the chairman, welcomed a good attendance at the March meeting and distributed the membership cards detailing the programme for the coming year.
She read out a letter she had received from Pat Kay thanking members for their gift of an orchid to mark her 90th birthday. Pat was present and so was able to express, in person, her thanks for this and for the affectionate good wishes she had received from so many friends.
The speaker was Hazel Rudge and her talk was New Tricks with Old Styles. The winner of the flower of the month competition was Sandra Jordon who had brought a hellebore.
The next meeting will be on on Tuesday, April 8, at 7.30pm in Wychbold village hall when our speaker will be Bob Harris on Munches and Bunches and our ruby celebration cake will be shared.
