Droitwich Spa and District Horticultural Society
The society held its annual general meeting, in this its 60th diamond anniversary year, when committee and officers were elected for the next 12 months.
Following the business of the meeting, Clive Crump organised a light-hearted general knowledge quiz which was thoroughly enjoyed by those members attending, as was the food that had been laid on by the committee. The society has also held its annual dinner where a good time was had by all with entertainment from Roger Green, his son Charlie and comedian David Huband. The meal, provided by Denise Crump, was excellent.
The next event in the society's calendar will be the spring flower show, which is to be held at The Barns, New Chawson Lane on Saturday, March 29. For copies of the schedule and further information please give the secretary Val Jancey a call on 778384.
