Two car crash

TWO people were taken to hospital following a collision involving two cars in Hanbury.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Hanbury Road, Hanbury, shortly after 5.30pm on Wednesday, April 23. An incident support officer was first on the scene in a rapid response vehicle, followed by an ambulance crew and the County Air Ambulance from Strensham.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found two cars which had been involved in a collision. Both cars were very badly damaged and one of them was in a ditch."

Two men, both in their 30s and the respective drivers of their cars, were found lying on the ground.

One was suffering from pains to his pelvis, shoulder and his right arm. He was also displaying signs of being in shock.

He was given pain relief at the scene and was immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar before being flown to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital. "The other driver had a chest injury. He was taken by land ambulance to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for further assessment and treatment," said the spokesman.
