PUPILS at a local village school achieve well, according to its latest Ofsted inspection.
Himbleton CofE First School's latest inspection, which was held last month, found that members of staff offer "good care, guidance and support". The report also said that Himbleton prepares its pupils well for the next stage of education helping them to become "considerate, independent individuals."
The Neight Hill-based school received mostly grade two ratings on various aspects judged - which is considered good in Ofsted's criteria. These included how well pupils achieve, the support for pupils and the effectiveness of the school's leadership.

Particular praise was singled out for the personal development and well-being of pupils, receiving the highest grade of outstanding. This was the same grade given to how well learners enjoy their education and the children's behaviour.
However, the report said that teachers could ensure better written work in science and that all youngsters are achieving challenging targets by checking groups are doing well enough in every subject.
The Ofsted inspectors said: "The school maintains its success and high standards from the time of the last inspection and has a good capacity to improve further.
"One parent summed up the views of many others by saying: "My child's confidence has blossomed. This is a testament to the care and dedication of the teachers and staff."
