| KEEP ON RUNNING: Enjoying the Lads and Dads Club. |
YOUNGSTERS took their dads back to school as part of a project aimed at improving bonding.
Twenty-five five-year-olds went to Droitwich Spa High School with their dads.
The Lads and Dads project, which is based at the Briar Mill school, aims to encourage fathers to interact more effectively with their children, particularly young boys.
Pupils from the high school organised a series of fun games for dads to play with their children.
Parents and children also got to sit down together and listen to a story teller before going home with a free bag of games equipment.
Dads are being encouraged, through the project, to spend more time playing and reading with their children, acting as role models to improve reading skills.
Free library books will be available from their schools over the next few weeks as part of the project.
The event will be repeated in July giving the dads a chance to come back and celebrate what they have been doing.
