Costly parking
I AM a 77-year-old pensioner living in Winslow Avenue, Droitwich, and I would like to protest against the parking charge increase in Droitwich
It was bad enough at 50p now it's 70p.
The reason for my protest is ove r what it costs me to go to the doctors. I can accept parking charges for shopping etc, but to see a doctor or to collect a prescription can't be right.
It's too far for me to walk, especially the return part as one has to climb a fairly steep bank and it takes it out of me with my heart condition, and it would take much longer.
I have to park on the car park as the space in front of the medical centre in Ombersley Street is usually full, and as one is on a timed appointment you have to be on time and not running around trying to fine somewhere to park without payment
