Catering for needs
THERE is a lot of discussion going on in the shopping centre in Droitwich and not one comment have I heard in favour of that monstrosity they are calling a cafe.
We already have three very good cafes that cater for all our needs. Why would we want another?
What most people wanted in that centre was a greengrocer, a butcher and an Iceland store. It isn't everyone that wants to shop at a supermarket. The salad is alway's chilled and doesn't keep very well.
Why don't they ask the people who live and shop in the Spa what they want or are we not supposed to have an opinion. After all we do pay our Council Tax.
I can't imagine any pensioners who would be willing to pay £3 for a cup of coffee. Perhaps when it fails they could turn it into a market, there would be lots of room for stalls round there and perhaps Droitwich will come alive again. But I won't hold my breath.
