Such arrogance
I AM in possession of a copy of Wychavon's propaganda magazine free with my trusty Advertiser.
That the district council has the gall to publish such tosh at ratepayers' expense illustrates their arrogance towards our Spa.
First they boast grandiose schemes to enhance historical characters of Pershore and Evesham High Streets at great expense to Droitwich taxpayers. Then they twist the knife by giving Pershore free parking to keep shopper numbers up.
Droitwich had its market bulldozed so a series of white plastic domes could spoil our skyline and shoppers are deterred via hikes in parking charges recently imposed by Wychavon.
Remember Droitwich fighting several years to stop Wychavon selling off the Lido to developers and spent a measly million maintaining it?
Now Wychavon has signed contracts to build a new £10.75 million leisure centre for Evesham, but they are not closing down the existing old one.
The magazine may not cheer up Droitwich Spa readers but it certainly confirms a great many views on who Wychavon favours.
