As demand returns to the economy and businesses are looking to hire more staff, fine tuning resourcing strategies becomes critical. This is the right time to create a focus on good recruitment, it is vital that good practice prevails throughout the resourcing process to ensure the successful attraction and selection of personnel at all levels.

Hewett Recruitment are championing and supporting the ‘Good Recruitment Campaign’ in Worcestershire, created nationally by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, with a panel of 15 key employers and representatives from several leading organisations such as the CIPD. CBI and FSB.

Employers across Worcestershire and beyond can get involved in the Good Recruitment Campaign at no cost by signing up to the Good Recruitment Charter. Benefits include use of a self-assessment tool to enable employers to measure themselves against the good practice charter, helping to define strengths and weaknesses and identify how to improve processes and systems in order to create a better candidate experience.

A toolkit which includes research, data, case studies, documents and presentations can be used both internally and externally to underpin the campaign.

Employers and HR professionals will have the opportunity to hear more about the campaign from Kevin Green, Chief Executive of the REC and key note speaker at the Hewett Recruitment/Chamber of Commerce HR Conference on 4th June at Sixways. Kevin is a captivating speaker and highly regarded commentator on the UK labour market.
